Bout of Books 8.0 Progress Update (round 2)

Hi everyone!  It’s day four into the Bout of Books Readathon, and I’m making significant progress toward my goals.

Completed:

  • Necessary Errors by Caleb Cain, 472 pages
  • The Dragon’s Path by Daniel Abraham, 557 pages (Kindle)
  • Choose Your Weapon by Sarah Rodriguez Pratt, 295 pages

In Progress:

  • Summer and Bird by Karen Catmull, page 180/384

Mini-Challenge:

One of Today’s mini-challenges is the Book Road Trip over at In Wonderland.  The challenge is to list 5-10 places you’d like to visit and a book that’s set in each country.  Here’s what I came up with.

  1. The Czech Republic – Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
  2. New Orleans – Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende
  3. France – The Lantern by Deborah Lawrenson
  4. England – The Crown by Nancy Bilyeau
  5. Russia – Deathless by Catherynne Valente
  6. Mexico – The Earthquake Machine by Mary P. Lowry

  1. Congrats on how much reading you have done so far.
I’ve been to New Orleans as part of my honeymoon, and it is every bit as wonderful as you’d think it would be 🙂

    • I want to travel more within the U.S.

I’ve been to other countries, but haven’t been to the southern or western parts of this one. I wanna make that happen one day. 😛

  2. You’ve read a lot so far!!! Hope the end of the thon continues to be successful for you 🙂
